On the first anniversary of Marin’s passing, we asked everyone who ever had any opportunity to meet Marin to share their stories with us. Thank you, Liv, for allowing us to share it with others.

How did you know Marin: From School

I met Marin in my 8th grade gym class during COVID when we were doing hybrid classes. I didn’t have any friends in that class but Marin came up and started talking to me when she realized I was all alone. Everyday without failure Marin put a smile on my face. After that we drifted apart until our junior year, I started sitting with Marin and her friends when I had nobody to sit with. The first day I sat with them Marin turned to me and asked me if I wanted to play D and D that upcoming weekend. I already had plans that weekend but I wish I could go back and say yes. Even after years of not talking Marin was still so welcoming and friendly.
