On the first anniversary of Marin’s passing, we asked everyone who ever had any opportunity to meet Marin to share their stories with us. Thank you, Alexis, for allowing us to share it with others.

How did you know Marin: She was one of my best friends

My sophomore year of high school, I went to sectionals individually so I couldn’t have been happier that Marin came. Having a friendly face in the crowd was so comforting in the chaos of the tournament. One of my favorite things about Marin was she not only told people she loved them, she showed them. She was always the person show up no matter what. I’m so lucky to have had even just a small part of her love and friendship.
