On the first anniversary of Marin’s passing, we asked everyone who ever had any opportunity to meet Marin to share their stories with us. Thank you, Tammy, for allowing us to share it with others.

How did you know Marin: My Daughter Gracie’s Friend

I met sweet Marin when my Daughter Gracie, nervously started at CrossFit Barrington as an 8th Grader. Marin, Gracie and Daley as they say ‘three peas in a pod’. So many times the three of them would have to lift each other up when they really didn’t feel like working out that day – but, by the end of class, you could hear their laughs all the way out into the parking lot. The best was when, I’d be waiting 15 to 20 minutes after their class had ended but they just wanted to be together. Marin will forever be a guardian angel for Gracie and Daley
