On the first anniversary of Marin’s passing, we asked everyone who ever had any opportunity to meet Marin to share their stories with us. Thank you for allowing us to share it with others.

How did you know Marin: Crossfit

I met Marin when I was a lot younger. She was a few years older than me, and I would see her around and always thought she and her friends were so cool. We were at CrossFit one day, and it was a partner workout that I was dreading because I didn’t have any friends at the time. Marin came up to me, even though she did have friends there, and asked to work together. It was a small act of kindness but I genuinely never forgot it and have admired her since.
