On the first anniversary of Marin’s passing, we asked everyone who ever had any opportunity to meet Marin to share their stories with us. Thank you, Viviana, for allowing us to share it with others.

How did you know Marin: Classmate in sophomore PE

I met Marin sophomore year. She, Michelle, Gianna, and a couple of other girls had PE together. Marin’s brother Nick was a PE leader in our period. I remember all of us playing four square together. Marin was always bubbly and kind to me and the other girls in the class. At the end of the year we were laying in the sun out on the football field signing yearbooks. She wrote in mine, “Congrats on surviving gym!” A very genuine and inclusive person.
